Meet Dr. Sandy

Dentistry is the very meeting of art and science. It seemed a natural career choice for Dr. Seyfried, an artist, and painter in her own right; Dr. Seyfried is also a “woman of firsts”. She is one of the first women to graduate from the University of Michigan Dental School (the only woman in her graduating class), the first woman to sit on the board of directors for the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, one of the first women to achieve a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in Michigan, one of the first women to establish a solo private practice and the first woman DDS in Birmingham.  Dr. Seyfried is committed to not just treating symptoms, but to treating underlying conditions in order to prevent problems from recurring.

The Practice

Personal relationships are our practice. At Seyfried + Associates, you won’t find the typical sign-in form or front desk receptionist, we greet our patients personally, by name. And while you’ll find comfort in our spa-like setting, what we do best is to provide quality, comprehensive dental care. Behind our luxurious surroundings are a highly trained dentist and experienced dental team, skilled in preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Our staff is committed to understanding your needs and desires and to providing you with a personalized treatment program designed to improve your oral health, appearance, and overall wellbeing.

01

Prevention

Preventive dental care is key to keeping your teeth healthy throughout the course of your life. But it goes beyond that. Good oral health can impact your general health, as well.

04

Wellness

Wellness-based dentistry recognizes that oral health and general health are interlinked and is achieved by integrating overall wellness protocols and strategies into our practice.

02

Restorative dentistry is the study, diagnosis and integrated management of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures and the rehabilitation of the dentition to functional and aesthetic requirements of the individual.

05

As oral health professionals we consider many pain management regimens for treating pre and post-procedural discomfort, strategies for oral facial conditions, and immediate management of acute dental pain.

03

Aesthetics

Cosmetic dentistry improves the appearance of teeth, gums and/or bite. It primarily focuses on improvement in dental aesthetics in color, position, shape, size, alignment, and overall smile appearance.

06

Sleep Apnea

Dental sleep medicine focuses on the use of oral appliance therapy to treat sleep-disordered breathing, including snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
